
David Norfrey
David Norfrey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Oberlin Conservatory, a Master’s degree in Sacred Music/Organ from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, and he is a Colleague of the American Guild of Organists (CAGO). He teaches group piano classes and private applied lessons at schools in the northern Virginia area; he is also active as a collaborative pianist, accompanist, guest organist, handbell workshop/retreat leader, and ESL tutor/teacher.
In central Virginia, Mr. Norfrey served as accompanist for the UVa University Singers and Chamber Singers, pianist for faculty and student vocalists and instrumentalists, and keyboard principal in the Charlottesville Symphony at the University of Virginia. He has also done collaborative work with instrumental faculty and students at James Madison University, and with private teachers/studios in the Charlottesville area.
In Rhode Island, Mr. Norfrey was Department Accompanist and Piano Class Instructor at Providence College and an active piano/organ accompanist in southern New England, at the University of RI, Community College of RI, with the Providence Singers, and the RI Senior High All-State Chorus.
