Elizabeth Norfrey has been teaching individuals and groups of all ages for more than 25 years. In addition to beginning and intermediate piano, she has taught all levels of voice: people who previously could not carry a tune, volunteer choir members, college students and experienced performers. Ms. Norfrey has served as a church organist and pianist; has directed community, church and school choirs in VA, MA, RI, GA and NJ; has taught Introduction to Music History at a community college and classroom music in grades 7-9. She also designs mini-courses on choral masterworks, providing background about the composers and explanations of musical techniques used to set the texts, preparing listeners to engage more actively with the musical presentations.
